When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the world as a family knows it changes in an instant. The fear, the uncertainty, the weight of it all, no parent should have to carry that alone.

The Strong and Brave Foundation was created to stand beside families in those moments. We provide support, resources, guidance, and community to families facing childhood cancer, because we know firsthand what it means to need a hand to hold when nothing makes sense.

We are inspired every day by two remarkable children: Cole Alexander Slaiding and Briana Harper Dolomite. Their bravery is the heartbeat of everything we do.

Our Mission

The Strong and Brave Foundation is dedicated to three core commitments:

Raising Awareness:

Sharing the truth about childhood cancer so that communities, lawmakers, and donors understand the urgency of this cause.

Supporting Families:

Providing hands-on support, resources, guidance, and community to families navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis, so no family ever feels alone.

Funding Research:

Increasing funding for childhood cancer research so that the next generation of children has better treatment options, better outcomes, and ultimately, a cure.

Briana’s House is a retreat center being built in honor of Briana Harper Dolomite, a girl who faced the unthinkable with grace, humor, and an unshakeable sparkle. Designed as a sanctuary for families navigating childhood cancer, Briana’s House will offer a place to step away from the hospital, breathe, and simply be together. Because every family fighting this battle deserves a moment of peace.
